गणतंत्र दिवस कवि सम्मेलन का स्वरुप
छब्बीस जनवरी १९५० को भारत में लोकतंत्र की स्थापना हुई तब से एक जश्न के रूप में गणतंत्र दिवस कवि सम्मेलन की परम्परा भी स्थापित हुई देश के सभी कलाकारों ने अपने-अपने तरीके से इस जश्न में हिस्सा लिया | लेकिन कविता की बात कुछ अलग है | कविता ज़्यादा असरदार होती है | ज़्यादा देर तक लोगों के दिल में रहती है | यही कारण है कि उस वक़्त की एक परम्परा ने स्थाई रूप धारण कर लिया | गणतंत्र दिवस कवि सम्मेलन के रूप में आज देश में सैकड़ों की संख्या में कवि सम्मेलन होते हैं |
लाल क़िला कवि सम्मेलन
वर्तमान में प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, 1950 में जब देश आज़ाद हुआ | तब कवि सम्मेलन की शुरुआत हुई | गणत्नत्र दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में होने वाले इस कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत देश के लोगों में राष्ट्रवाद की भावना को और मज़बूत करने तथा देश को एकता और अखंडता के सूत्र में बांधे रखने के लिए हुई |
पहले यह कवि सम्मेलन तेईस जनवरी को लाल क़िले के भीतर होता था बाद में सुरक्षा कारणों से स्थान परिवर्तन होता रहा |
छब्बीस जनवरी का मतलब और महत्व
छब्बीस जनवरी कहने को दो शब्दों समूह है | लेकिन ये दो शब्द किसी भी भारतीय के दिल में रोमांच भरने के लिए काफी हैं इसी दिन भारत का संविधान कानून व्यवस्था के रूप में स्थापित हुआ | भारत के लोगों को वोट देने का अधिकार मिला | लेकिन संगीत, साहित्य और सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों के क्रम में कविता ने अपनी ठोस जगह बनाई | भले ही आज हास्य कवि सम्मेलन और हास्य कविता लोगों को अधिक आनंदित करती है | लेकिन लाल क़िले से आज भी लोग राष्ट्रप्रेम और ओज की कविता ही सुनना पसंद करने है | भारत माता की जय के नारों के साथ पूरा पंडाल गूँज उठता है |

जब गणतंत्र दिवस पर होने वाले कवि सम्मेलन की बात आती है | तो बहुत से कवियों के नाम भी जुबां पर आते हैं | जिनकी कवितायेँ लोगों के जहन में राष्ट्रवाद और देशप्रेम का संचार करती हैं | इस क्रम में जो नाम प्रमुखता से लिए जाते हैं |उनमें डॉ हरिओम पँवार और विनीत चौहान के नाम सबसे ऊपर की पायदान पर हैं | मनवीर मधुर, कविता तिवारी, अशोक चारण, अमित शर्मा, गौरव चौहान, अर्जुन सिसोदिया, मदन मोहन समर, प्रख्यात मिश्रा, सुमित मिश्रा, योगेंद्र शर्मा, के अतिरिक्त और भी बहुत से नाम राष्ट्रवादी कवि के रूप में कवि सम्मेलन में स्थापित हैं |

Format of Republic Day Kavi Sammelan
Democracy was established in India on 26th January 1950. Since then, the tradition of Gantantra Diwas Kavi Sammelan was also established as a celebration. All the artists of the country took part in this celebration in their own way. But the matter of poetry is something different. Poetry is more effective. Remains in people’s hearts for a long time. This is the reason why a tradition of that time took a permanent form. Today, hundreds of Kavi Sammelan are held in the country in the form of Gantantra Diwas Kavi Sammelan.

According to the currently available information, when the country became independent in 1947. Then the Kavi Sammelan started. This program on the occasion of Republic Day was started to further strengthen the feeling of nationalism among the people of the country and to keep the country bound in the thread of unity and integrity. Earlier this Kavi Sammelan used to be held inside the Red Fort on 23rd January. Later the location kept changing due to security reasons.
